My Own Healing Journey
Why I Chose to Help Others Heal
People sometimes ask what led me to energy healing. The honest answer is that I did not begin with a plan to become a practitioner. My path started with curiosity, some skepticism, and a willingness to explore something I did not fully understand.
When I scheduled my first Reiki session, I assumed it would be similar to massage or another form of hands-on bodywork. I was not sure what to expect, and I certainly was not expecting that experience to become the beginning of an entirely new direction in my life.
That session opened my mind to the possibility that healing can happen on more than one level.
We can understand something logically and still feel emotionally stuck. We can know that a difficult experience is over and still carry its weight. We can tell ourselves to relax, move forward, or let go, yet find that our body and emotions do not seem ready to cooperate.
Learning about energy healing helped me understand that people are complex. Our emotions, experiences, beliefs, physical bodies, relationships, and sense of spiritual connection can all influence how we feel.
That understanding is a large part of why I help others today.
I Know What It Is Like to Search for Answers
Many of the people who come to me are not looking for someone to “fix” them. They are looking for support, clarity, relief, or a safe place to begin sorting through what they have been carrying.
Some feel emotionally exhausted.
Some are navigating grief, trauma, stress, or a major life transition.
Some feel stuck but cannot explain why.
Others simply know that something feels out of balance and want to explore a different kind of support.
I understand the courage it can take to schedule a session when you are unsure what will happen or whether the practitioner will truly understand you. I remember being the person who was curious but skeptical. Because of that, I never expect clients to arrive with complete confidence in the process or with the perfect words to describe what they need.
You are allowed to come as you are.
My Role Is to Support, Not Judge
My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual journey.
I do not believe healing should be forced. I also do not believe every person needs the same approach. What feels helpful to one client may not feel right for another, which is why I offer several ways to receive support.
Depending on your needs, a session may focus on restoring emotional balance, releasing emotional baggage, supporting greater balance within the physical body, or helping you experience a deeper sense of calm and connection.
I may use practices such as Reiki, Emotion Code®, Body Code™, or Bach® Flower support. Each method is different, but my intention remains the same: to create a thoughtful, supportive experience that honors where you are now and where you would like to go.
Healing Does Not Have to Look a Certain Way
One of the most important things I have learned is that healing is rarely a straight line.
Sometimes progress feels significant and immediate. Other times, it unfolds gradually through small changes: sleeping more peacefully, responding differently to stress, feeling less emotionally reactive, recognizing an old pattern, or finally feeling ready to make a decision.
There is no single correct way to heal.
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. You do not need to explain every detail of your past. You do not need to pretend that you are doing better than you are.
My goal is to meet you with honesty and compassion, without judgment or pressure.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I help others because I believe people deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered in their own healing process.
I also believe there is value in having more than one kind of support available. Energy healing is not a replacement for medical care, mental-health treatment, or other professional services. It can, however, be a meaningful complementary practice for people who want to care for their emotional, energetic, and spiritual well-being.
I am also comfortable referring clients to other practitioners when I believe someone else offers a skill, perspective, or form of support that may serve them more deeply. Healing does not need to be competitive. Often, the best support comes from having several trusted resources.
This work is not about convincing someone to believe exactly what I believe. It is about offering a safe space to explore what may help you feel more balanced, connected, and supported.
Support That Fits Into Real Life
Healing support should feel accessible, not overwhelming.
I welcome clients for in-person sessions at my downtown Pocatello studio and my home studio in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. I also offer Emotion Code® and Body Code™ sessions through Zoom or email, making it possible to receive support from nearly anywhere.
Email sessions can be especially helpful for people with busy schedules, limited transportation, health concerns, family responsibilities, or a preference for receiving information privately in writing.
However you choose to work with me, my intention is to provide compassionate, grief- and trauma-informed support while respecting your comfort, boundaries, and personal beliefs.
You Do Not Have to Carry Everything Alone
Reaching out for support does not mean you are weak, broken, or failing.
Sometimes it simply means you are ready for something to feel different.
My own journey began with curiosity and uncertainty. That experience taught me not to underestimate what can happen when we remain open to new possibilities.
Today, I am grateful to offer others the same kind of opportunity: a place to pause, reconnect, explore what may be weighing them down, and take a meaningful step forward in their healing journey.
