Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that originated in Japan and is used to support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. It is based on the understanding that the body has an innate capacity to restore harmony when it is supported in a calm, regulated state.
Many people think of Reiki as working with the body’s natural energy or life force. When we experience stress, emotional strain, illness, or prolonged challenges, the body can become less able to regulate itself with ease. Reiki offers a quiet, supportive presence that may help the nervous system settle and allow the body to shift out of chronic stress patterns.
Rather than focusing on symptoms or “fixing” specific problems, Reiki supports awareness and balance. The practitioner does not direct outcomes or impose change. Instead, Reiki is offered in a way that allows the body to respond according to its own needs and timing. Each session is unique, and experiences can range from deep relaxation to subtle shifts in awareness.
Reiki has roots in traditional healing practices that have existed across cultures for thousands of years. While Reiki was formalized and taught publicly by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, similar approaches to supporting balance through presence, intention, and touch can be found throughout history.
People seek Reiki for many reasons, including stress relief, emotional support, physical comfort, or a desire to feel more grounded and connected. Reiki does not replace medical or mental health care, but it may be used as a complementary practice alongside other forms of support.
Ultimately, Reiki is less about belief and more about experience. You are always in control of your session, and your comfort, consent, and sense of safety are central to the process.

The Five Principles of Reiki are simple guiding statements traditionally used to support balance, self-awareness, and peace in daily life. They are not rules to live by perfectly, but reminders that invite reflection and intention.
The Five Principles are:
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.
These principles emphasize “just for today” as a way to bring focus into the present moment, rather than striving for perfection.

Reiki works by supporting the body’s own natural ability to restore balance. The body is constantly communicating within itself, and when stress, emotions, or experiences are held in a way that feels unresolved, that communication can become less fluid. Reiki offers a calm, steady energetic presence that helps the body recognize where support is needed.
Rather than targeting symptoms or “fixing” specific issues, Reiki creates the conditions for awareness and regulation. When the body is relaxed and supported, it can respond in the way that is most appropriate for that individual. The practitioner does not direct the outcome or impose change; instead, they remain present, attentive, and receptive, allowing the energy to flow where it is needed.
Some practitioners may notice areas of sensation or subtle cues during a session, but Reiki itself is not about effort or manipulation. It is a gentle process of being present, listening, and allowing the body’s innate wisdom to guide the experience.
-
It’s completely okay to have questions or concerns, especially if your faith or spiritual background is important to you. Reiki is not a religion, belief system, or form of worship, and it does not require you to adopt any spiritual views. You do not need to believe in energy work for a session to be supportive.
Many people understand Reiki simply as a gentle practice that encourages relaxation and supports the body’s natural ability to regulate and restore balance. Others experience it as a quiet, supportive presence—similar to the calm that can come from rest, prayer, meditation, or caring touch. How you interpret the experience is entirely your own.
Your beliefs are always respected. Nothing in a Reiki session is intended to conflict with personal faith, and you are never asked to engage in anything that feels uncomfortable or misaligned. You are welcome to ask questions, take your time, and decide what feels right for you.

Item descriptionThe Emotion Code® is a gentle, energy-based method designed to help identify and release emotional stress that may be held in the body. These stored emotional experiences—often referred to as trapped emotions—can form during challenging or overwhelming moments and may continue to influence how a person feels or responds long after the original experience has passed.
Rather than focusing on reliving past events, The Emotion Code® works by bringing awareness to emotional patterns that the body may be ready to release. When this emotional stress is addressed, many people report feeling lighter, more balanced, or better able to navigate emotional challenges.
The process is non-invasive and does not involve diagnosis or treatment of medical or mental health conditions. It is based on the idea that the body has an innate wisdom and capacity for self-regulation when supported in a calm, intentional way.
The Emotion Code® does not replace medical or mental health care, but it may be used as a complementary practice alongside other forms of support. Each session is unique, and outcomes vary depending on the individual and what their body is ready to address.

The Body Code® is a comprehensive, energy-based system designed to help identify areas of imbalance within the body. It looks at multiple aspects of well-being, including emotional, energetic, structural, nutritional, and environmental influences, with the goal of supporting the body’s natural ability to restore balance.
Rather than treating symptoms or conditions directly, The Body Code® focuses on awareness. By gently identifying underlying stressors or imbalances the body may be holding, the work supports regulation and self-healing processes that are already present within the body.
The process is non-invasive and does not involve medical diagnosis or treatment. Sessions are guided by the body’s own responses and are tailored to what feels most appropriate and supportive in the moment. Many people experience shifts in how they feel physically, emotionally, or energetically, though each session and outcome is unique.
The Body Code® is not a replacement for medical or mental health care, but it may be used as a complementary practice alongside other forms of support. This work is rooted in respect for the body’s innate wisdom and its capacity to move toward balance when given the right conditions.

The Emotion Code® and The Body Code® are closely related, but they differ in scope.
The Emotion Code® focuses specifically on emotional stress that may be held in the body. This work is centered on identifying and releasing emotional patterns that can influence how a person feels emotionally or physically. It is a focused approach that looks only at emotional imbalances.
The Body Code® is a broader system that includes emotional work while also exploring other possible areas of imbalance. In addition to emotions, The Body Code® may look at energetic patterns, structural alignment, nutritional or lifestyle stressors, environmental influences, and how different systems of the body are communicating with one another.
You can think of The Emotion Code® as one important piece of a larger picture. The Body Code® builds on that foundation by offering a more comprehensive view of balance and regulation across multiple layers of the body and energy systems.
Both approaches are gentle, non-invasive, and guided by the body’s own responses. Neither replaces medical or mental health care, and each session is tailored to what feels most appropriate and supportive for the individual.

Yes, The Emotion Code® can be used with animals, and many people choose this approach as a gentle way to support their pet’s emotional well-being. Animals experience stress, fear, and change just as humans do, and emotional experiences may influence behavior, comfort, or how they respond to their environment.
When used with animals, The Emotion Code® is applied in a non-invasive, respectful way that honors the animal’s comfort and autonomy. Sessions are often conducted through distance work, which allows the animal to receive support without restraint or disruption to their natural behavior.
As with people, this work does not diagnose conditions or replace veterinary care. It may be used as a complementary practice alongside appropriate medical or behavioral support. Each animal responds in their own way, and sessions are guided by what feels appropriate for that individual.

Muscle testing is a gentle method used in some energy-based practices to gather information from the body. It is based on the idea that the body can respond to simple yes-or-no questions through subtle changes in muscle tone.
Rather than relying on conscious thought or analysis, muscle testing is used to observe how the body responds to specific questions or statements. These responses are not forced or manipulated and do not involve strength or exertion. Instead, they are subtle cues that help guide the session and determine what may be most appropriate to address at that time.
Muscle testing does not diagnose conditions or replace medical evaluation. It is simply a tool used to support awareness and decision-making within modalities such as The Emotion Code® and The Body Code®. The process is non-invasive and is adapted respectfully when working with people or animals.
