What Happens During a Reiki or Emotion Code Session?
One of the most common questions people have about energy healing is simple:
What actually happens during a session?
For many people, the experience is much more comfortable and relaxing than they expect.
A Reiki session typically takes place in a quiet, calm setting. The client remains fully clothed and lies comfortably on a massage table or sits in a relaxed position.
The practitioner gently places their hands on or just above different areas of the body. Each position is held for a few minutes while the practitioner allows Reiki energy to flow.
Many people feel warmth, gentle tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation during the session. Others simply notice that their mind becomes quieter.
Some people even fall asleep.
Emotion Code sessions look a little different but are just as simple.
The practitioner uses muscle testing to communicate with the body’s subconscious mind and identify trapped emotional energies that may be ready to release.
Once identified, the trapped emotion is released through a brief process involving intention and the body’s governing meridian.
Sessions are typically calm and conversational. Sometimes clients feel emotional shifts during the session, while other times the changes are subtle and become noticeable afterward.
In both Reiki and Emotion Code sessions, the goal is not to force anything.
Instead, the practitioner creates a supportive environment that allows the body to release stress and move toward balance.
After a session, people often report feeling:
deeply relaxed
mentally clearer
emotionally lighter
more centered
Because energy healing works with the body’s natural processes, each person’s experience is unique.
Some people notice immediate shifts, while others experience gradual changes over the following days.
